Reinforced and Non-reinforced Concrete Pipe

Vitrified Clay Pipe
Similar to other types of pipe, vitrified clay pipe can also protect itself from the harmful effects of corrosion and other chemical reactions from wastes and other solutions flowing within the pipe system. The pipe is made up of spigots and mortar-sealed bell for a strong and easy connection to the pip next to it. However, the pipe is not resistant to tree roots that penetrate within the pipe. Most of the time, vitrified clay pipe fails to function because the roots are attracted to the porous surface of the pipe.
Cast and Ductile Iron Pipe
These pipes are commonly recommended by experts because they are suitable for underground sewers that carry the weight and stress of transportation vehicles and other heavy loads. This is because the cast and ductile iron pipes can withstand the pressure that these heavy loads give to the ground. As mentioned earlier, these are used for sewer lines that can be found in bridge crossing and other areas that are predicted to constantly experience heavy traffic. On the other hand, the setback of these pipes lies in its start-up cost.
